Pashofa

PASHOFA is an American Indian dish made from Pearl Hominy. Itʼs easy to prepare:
just put it in a large pan, cover with water to float any husks up. Skim them off & drain
the water. Fill pot with pashofa with water again covering it by 2-3 inches. Cook over
low-heat stirring to avoid sticking. Add any fresh (uncured) pork such as neck bones or
pork chops while cooking. Some people wait until almost done and add fried bacon and
its grease. Pashofa is seasoned with salt/pepper as individuals prefer. Weʼve also
heard stories of ashes being added for flavor when the pashofa is cooked in a large
kettle over an open fire at and Indian gathering.

We are able to purchase Pashofa (Pearl Hominy) from Shawnee Mills before itʼs ground
into other products. We sell it in bulk, by the pound. It stores well in the freezer so you can buy plenty and be prepared.

FYI- shipping shown ($5) is enough to ship about 4 lbs of pashofa here in the U. S.  I will adjust your total when I know exactly what the shipping is, and I'll refund the difference to you via PayPal.
